Happy Fourth of July! Staying local and wondering what to do tonight? The Northport Community Band’s season opener, “Families and Flags on the Fourth” will take place in Northport Village Park at 8:30pm, with a preconcert at 7:45pm.

The Village of Asharoken begins its fireworks display at 9:15pm. While there is no public area to watch the firework show and no parking along streets in Asharoken Village, people can enjoy the show from Crab Meadow Beach, James Street or Ocean Avenue in Northport.

Know before you go: Crab Meadow Beach usually gets packed for the display, so arrive early!
