Showcasing both pioneering individuals and influential organizations, PRIDE! Our Story explores the lives of those who lived authentically and worked to advance equality. The exhibit guides visitors through key milestones, diverse voices, and powerful stories that continue to shape the LGBTQ+ community. Created by Huntington resident John N. Daniello, a graphic designer and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, the exhibit aims to educate, inspire and preserve these important histories.

Living on Common Ground

Free online presentation

Explore the Northport-East Northport area’s rich African American history from the 1650s through the 1950s. East Northport native Ceylon Swenson, an independent historian and museum professional, will deliver an online illustrated lecture, followed by a Q&A. Titled “Living on Common Ground: A New Look at Northport and East Northport’s Black History,” the event is sponsored by St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (UMC) on Northport’s Main Street.

Black History Walking Tour

Sunday, June 21, 1:30pm

Tour begins at the info booth in Village Park

Immerse yourself in the Black history of Northport during this guided walking tour, presented by researcher Ceylan Swenson. Attendees will experience familiar locations from a different vantage point, as they hear the compelling narratives of the diverse Black families who have called Northport and its surrounding areas home for generations. Free event, limited spots.

St. Anthony’s Feast and Festival 

Wednesday, June 24 to Saturday, June 27

Trinity Regional School, 1025 5th Avenue, East Northport

The annual feast and festival is back with carnival rides, food, drinks, entertainment and more. So many family-friendly attractions, including fireworks on Saturday. Hours of operation are Wednesday through Friday from 6pm to 11pm and Saturday from 3pm to 11pm. A fireworks display will take place on Saturday evening.
