Travis Louie returns to Haven Gallery on May 1 for a new exhibit showcasing his whimsical creations. The artist will be present from 2-6pm opening day.
Louie creates his own imaginary world, grounded in Victorian and Edwardian times. His works reflect human oddities, mythical beings and otherworldly characters. In capturing their portraits, Louie marks their existence in his shared fictional world.
Immerse yourself in the alternative universe Louie offers with his acrylic paint washes and simple textures. For Louie, the fear of “the other” should be replaced with a curiosity of the unknown.
Travis Louie’s New Works exhibition will be on display at Haven Gallery, 90 Main Street, Northport from May 1 to May 30.
