Northport Pridefest returns with month-long lineup of events

Northport Pridefest has announced its lineup of events for Pride Month 2026, with celebrations taking place throughout Northport Village in the weeks leading up to the annual Pridefest in the Park. The group, which recently received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, aims to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride, history and diversity while promoting education, equality and community connection through events, outreach and access to resources.
The month-long celebration will begin with an Interfaith Prayer Service on Thursday, May 28, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Northport. The annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony with the Village of Northport will follow on Friday, May 29, outside Northport Village Hall.
Additional events include Pints for Pride at Sand City Brewing Co. on Friday, June 5, and the organization’s signature event, Pridefest in the Park, on Saturday, June 20, at Northport Village Park.
Pridefest in the Park will feature vendors, food, live music, entertainment, speakers and community resources in a lively, family-friendly setting. Attendees are encouraged to come celebrate their authentic selves during the afternoon event, which will feature a curated program hosted by drag queen LaBelle, music by DJ Mike, stories shared by community members, as well as an appearance by speaker, celebrated poet and activist Rita Rusty Rose.
According to organizers, the month’s events are intended to reinforce the message that Northport is a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone can feel seen, supported and celebrated. Details for each event are listed below.
