The return of Northport Pridefest in the Park is scheduled for Saturday, June 15 from 12:30-5pm in Northport Village Park. The event celebrates LGBTQ+ pride with a “pre-tea” afternoon festival featuring food, music, and vendors that include local nonprofit organizations and small businesses.
Pridefest attendees are also encouraged to explore Northport Village and its eclectic array of specialty shops, restaurants, and art galleries, as well as the Pride exhibit presented by the Northport Historical Society Museum.
Several fundraising events will lead up to the June 15 festival, which is hosted by Northport Village, Northport Pridefest and Schramm Marketing Group. A flag-raising ceremony on May 31 at noon, in front of Northport Village Hall, will kick off Pride Month.
Opportunities to celebrate Pride Month and support Northport Pridefest include a Paint and Sip fundraiser at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church on May 18 from 7-9pm. Tickets are $45 and include two servings of wine/beer, a canvas, paint supplies, snack and soft drinks. Use this form to register.
You can show your support for Northport Pridefest by purchasing and displaying a lawn sign. Lawn signs cost $15 and can be purchased using this form.
There is also a mass at Trinity Episcopal Church on Main Street in Northport Village in honor of Pride and the LGBTQ+ community. It will be held the morning of Pridefest, June 15, at 9:30am. All are welcome to join.
