Students at Pulaski Road Elementary School recently received a visit from Paralympic gold medalist and Northport High School alumnus Mikey Brannigan.

Brannigan visited students to celebrate the culmination of their Pick a Reading Partner (PARP) program, where the students accomplished their goal of reading more than 10,000 minutes collectively.

As part of the visit, students listened to a story read by Brannigan’s mother, Edith Brannigan, and heard about the importance of goal setting and teamwork from his coach, Sonja Robinson, as well as from Brannigan himself.

The assembly concluded with an opportunity for students to ask questions and learn more about the inspiring athlete. Read all about Brannigan’s latest accomplishments here
