For the first time since 2019, the beloved high school service club Students for 60,000 will host a dinner and comedy night, a benefit that supports the many projects SF60K students participate in every year.

The evening begins with a buffet dinner and raffles, and closes with entertainment by comedians from New York City’s Gotham Comedy Club. The tradition, begun by former SF60K advisor Lisa Flanagan, has been on hiatus; current leaders are looking to revive the event this year.

Proceeds from the night will benefit SF60K’s local outreaches to community members through the Pizza Friday Initiative, humanitarian nonprofits benefiting the homeless, as well as various food banks and pantries. Domestically, money raised will also help the partnership between the organization and Director Marlene Spaulding of A.B.L.E Families of Mingo County, West Virginia. Finally, support from the dinner and comedy show will reach SF60K’s international partner, World Servants, led by President Emeritus Tim Gibson in Mtito Andei, Kenya and the Iviani School.

The event takes place at Northport High School on Friday, June 9 at 7pm. General admission is $35 per ticket, with a discount for seniors and students. A $3 administrative fee will be included in any online purchase. Tickets may be purchased here.
