The Pink in the Park Breast Cancer Prevention and Education Fair will take place at Heckscher Park in Huntington on September 29 from 10am to 2pm. The event aims to raise awareness and provide crucial information about breast cancer prevention and care, and will include a mobile mammography van courtesy of North Shore Hospital, with appointments available in advance. Breast cancer survivors will publicly share their journeys to inspire attendees.

The Town of Huntington is currently seeking a diverse range of vendors to make this event a “true mosaic of inspiration and support,” town councilwoman Theresa Mari stated in a press release. Whether you sell essential breast cancer care items, jewelry, clothing or other products, you’re encouraged to participate, she said: “This event is a unique opportunity for your business to engage with the community, showcase your products or services, and stand in solidarity with those impacted by breast cancer.” Participation for vendors is free.

The town is also looking for vendors who can contribute to creating a fun and engaging environment for families, with activities for children to enjoy.

To become a vendor, contact Michelle Wright, legislative aide to Councilwoman Mari, at MAWright@huntingtonny.gov or via phone at 631-351-3173.
