Memorial Day parades, ceremonies and other weekend events

Highlighted below are Memorial Day parades, services and events that are scheduled to take place in Northport and East Northport. The weather forecast currently looks excellent for Monday, May 26; check back here or on the Northport Journal Facebook page for updates.

Northport Village
The Northport Memorial Day Parade and services will be held on Monday, May 26 at 10am on Main Street in Northport Village. The line of march will be led by American Legion Post 694 and post commander Bill McKenna. It will begin at the Brosnan building on Laurel Avenue, with a procession that includes 12 wreath placements along Main Street and into Northport Village Park for post-wreath laying ceremony. East Northport Memorial Day Parade
In East Northport, an annual Memorial Day parade hosted by Knights of Columbus #6893 and Fr. Thomas A. Judge will begin on Monday, May 26 at 12pm. The parade route will begin at the IGA parking lot on Larkfield Road and Clay Pitts, and head to the John Walsh Memorial Park, adjacent to the Northport-East Northport Library.

TOH Memorial Day Ceremony
The public is invited to join TOH officials in honoring fallen servicemen and women at Huntington Town Hall on Sunday, May 25, at 10am in commemoration of Memorial Day. The ceremony will take place at Veterans Plaza at Town Hall, with a performance by the Huntington Men's Chorus and refreshments to follow. Seating will be available for all.

Huntington YMCA Memorial Day Weekend Carnival
