JK Consulting teams up with Giants and Paws of War to present service dog to veteran

At the Sunday, November 28 Salute to Service Game at MetLife Stadium, local marketing firm JK Consulting partnered with the NY Giants, Window World and Paws of War to present a service dog to a Long Island veteran.
“We’re thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to put a healing leash in the hands of United States Navy veteran, John Mulvey,” said Jennifer Pinto and Kelley Henneberry, partners at JK Consulting, located in Northport Village. “It's a privilege to recognize John’s incredible service and sacrifice with this special gift.”
John, an Oceanside native, enlisted in the Navy in 1978 and retired in 2016 as a master chief, E-8. During his time in the Navy, Mulvey deployed nine times and was also part of the recovery at the World Trade Center and Pentagon. He has received numerous badges and awards, including the Joint Service Commendation Medal, five Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and a Navel Reserve Ribbon with two Bronze Stars.
Mulvey’s new dog, Storm, is being trained by Paws of War, a Smithtown-based nonprofit with a mission to rescue, train and place shelter dogs to help serve and provide independence to veterans and first responders who suffer from traumatic effects sustained while serving their country.
“We are truly grateful for the NY Giants, JK Consulting and Window World’s dedication to helping our veterans manage the invisible wounds of war,” Robert Misseri, co-founder of Paws of War said. “With their benevolent grant, we have been able to help put a healing leash in the hands of another veteran who will go on to live their life to the fullest.”
The Giants-Patriots match-up is part of the National Football League's Salute to Service campaign honoring veterans and active-duty members of the military.
