The best time to begin: Historical Society’s first membership month in full swing
This August, as part of its first ever “Membership Month,” the Northport Historical Society is offering reduced prices on most yearly memberships, including all business level memberships. Membership packages are designed to help members get the most out of their memberships and the many events offered at Northport Historical Society.
In addition to level-specific benefits, all Northport Historical Society members enjoy discounts and pre-sale access to museum events and programs; 10% discount on all museum shop merchandise; a subscription to the museum newsletter delivered weekly via email; an invitation to the annual member's only mixer and the new quarterly Member Get-Together Nites; as well as access to the new membership portal and a digital membership card.
Society leaders are also giving away ornaments and t-shirts with any new membership purchase during the month.
Another feature debuting this month is the society’s new membership page on the Northport Historical Society website. The page received a major overhaul to complement membership month. Created by Marketing and Membership Coordinator John Daniello, the page highlights the advantages of personal and business memberships at the society and features pricing details and buttons that link to all available memberships.
According to Daniello, the new page is just the beginning of the new “membership experience,” which he began working on last year. In addition to sending out membership packets and hosting quarterly Get-Together Nites, Daniello plans to make the site a hub for all membership-related activities including access to digital membership cards, the membership portal, and a newsletter archive.
