It’s your last chance to experience the John W. Engeman Theater’s whodunit, Clue – a clever, fast-paced mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end. Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue offers theatergoers a unique and engaging experience (plus themed cocktails and playing cards).

The production is a departure from the usual performances at the Engeman; a single 90-minute act that moves briskly, keeping the audience engaged through its many twists and turns. Each scene builds on the last, creating a stream of both intrigue and humor as the mystery unfolds. While the play revolves around curious murders, you’re far more likely to die of laughter than by pipe or dagger.

The casting is spot on with their board game personas, from the costumes, to each actor’s gestures and one-liners. The characters they play are lovable, even if suspicious and morally corrupt, and the combination leaves you rooting for each one to not be the murderer. Three stars of the show are Long Island natives: Broadway veteran Christina DeCicco (Mrs. White) from Island Park, Michael Keyloun (Wadsworth) from Manhasset and Suzanne Mason (Woman 1) from Nesconset. DeCicco’s credits include starring roles in productions including Evita, Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark and Sister Act

Clue at the Engeman is running through October 27, with performances Wednesday through Sunday. Tickets start at $80 and can be purchased online, by calling 631-261-2900, or by visiting the Engeman Theater Box Office at 250 Main Street in Northport.
