Northport Village’s Indigo Room, “a place for creative souls and free spirits,” is closing in a few months, owner Kim Gardner Kennedy announced on the store’s Instagram page at the beginning of March.

Kennedy moved her store to its current Main Street location in 2020. “After 5 years of Indigo Room (and 10 years of being in business), it’s time for something new for me,” Kennedy wrote.

“I’ll be posting as we go but I’ll say this: if you saw something you loved, now’s the time. If you saw something you wanted but wanted to pay less, come to mama because good deals are happening,” Kennedy, who is moving off Long Island, said.

Until then, she’ll slowly be introducing “salvage and vintage and anything and everything” to the store, as well as new merchandise, including jewelry and candles. “Gotta keep it fresh, people,” Kennedy wrote.

Keep up to date with Indigo Room on its Instagram page or stop in at 146 Main Street and see what’s in store. Kennedy is anticipating a May or June closing.
