Pure Imagination at the Firefly

The Firefly Artists are teaming up with the Community Playhouse of Northport for a juried exhibition in celebration of the theater’s production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka. Artists from throughout Long Island were invited to submit artwork for “Pure Imagination,” which celebrates desserts, sweets and everything satisfyingly delicious. The exhibition runs through May 12.

Yökai Group Exhibition at Haven Gallery

Yokai are a class of supernatural entities and spirits in Japanese folklore. This group exhibition at Haven Gallery calls for the integration of these characters and their narratives into paintings, drawings and sculptures. 2024 Northport Art Walk

Spring into Art Children's Painting Exhibit

On Saturday, May 11, the Trinity Community Arts Center will host a reception for its “Spring into Art” children’s exhibit, and is currently inviting kids ages 6 through 12 to submit their own original works to be displayed in the spring-themed show. Run for the Health of It 5K

Register for the Visiting Nurse Center’s 24th annual Run for the Health of It 5K on Saturday, May 11, a day of fun, fitness and philanthropy that benefits the Visiting Nurse Service’s Hospice House. The 5K is a USATF Certified 5K (3.1 miles) course through the residential roads of Northport, and includes 1.6K of the historic Cow Harbor course. Northport PBA Golf Outing

Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach

The United States Navy Blue Angels return to Long Island to headline the Bethpage Air Show 20th anniversary event. This will be the Blue Angels’ tenth headliner performance for what has grown into one of the most respected air shows in the country. Over 240,000 fans attended the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach in 2022, when the Blue Angels last performed during a stormy weekend. Last year, over 419,000 fans attended.
