NCB’s final concert of the summer is here – and it’s a family affair. From “When you Wish Upon a Star” to the “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” with guest conductors Andy Isca and Aaron Prindle, piccolo soloist Karen Early Swenson and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with cannoneer James McAward. A pre-concert feature from the NENUFSD GETSMaRT summer music students begins at 5:30pm. Bring a chair or a blanket for you, a can of food to donate to Long Island Cares, and bubbles for the show’s exit song, “Forgotten Dreams.” Livestream available here.

Iconic Northport

“Iconic Northport,” an exhibit now open at the Northport Historical Society features the history behind Northport's most iconic landmarks, businesses and traditions, including the LILCO stacks, the trolley tracks, Jones Drug Store and Cow Harbor Day. The museum’s first ever interactive exhibit, each icon has its own QR code that offers users a short video containing extra photos and interesting facts. There is also a selfie station, where visitors can become a customer of Jones Drug Store's old soda fountain.
