Restaurant Week runs until May 1, includes some Northport favorites

The Ritz Cafe in Northport Village is one of over 100 restaurants participating in this year’s Long Island Restaurant Week.

Long Island Restaurant Week has arrived and eateries throughout Nassau and Suffolk – including a few Northport Village favorites – are offering special prix-fixe deals through Sunday, May 1. Available at participating restaurants are two-course lunches for $20 and/or a choice of three-course dinners that run $25, $35 or $42. The deals are available every night that the restaurant is open, except Saturday, when certain establishments may only run the special until 7pm.

According to the Long Island Restaurant Week website, this week of promotions is good business; in years past, restaurants have reported an increase in sales and reservations due to the specials. Some restaurants recorded sales up 200% and others decided to extend the offers because of their success.

This year, 112 restaurants throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties are listed on the Long Island Restaurant Week website as official participants. Within Northport, Salted on the Harbor, The Wine Cellar on Main and Ritz Cafe are participating. Check out the Ritz prix-fixe menu here.

Some other options that are close to Northport include Ruvo in Greenlawn; Konaba, Matteo’s, Piccola Bussola Ristorante and Piccolo Mondo Ristorante in Huntington; Grasso’s in Cold Spring Harbor; and Ciro’s in Kings Park.
