Sunday, September 11, 9:45am and 8pm
East Northport Fire Department Headquarters
September 11, 2001 marked the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives in three coordinated attacks. Those lost included 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers. The East Northport Fire Department has vowed to “Never Forget” that tragic day or the lives lost. This year, members of the East Northport Fire Department (ENFD), along with members from neighboring fire departments and community members, will come together to remember the attacks and pay tribute to the lives lost.

After 21 years, the ENFD encourages everyone to always remember and continue to pay tribute to the brave men and women who lost their lives in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on Flight 93 in Pennsylvania.

This year's ceremony is scheduled for 9:45am. A candlelight vigil will be held at 8pm at ENFD Headquarters, located at 1 Ninth Avenue in East Northport.
