Memorial Day observances, scheduled for this Monday, May 29 in Northport and East Northport, will remember and honor the men and women who lost their lives for our country. In Northport Village, a line of march led by American Legion Post #694 will begin at 10am at the north end of Laurel Avenue, down Main Street and to Northport Village Park. The procession includes wreath placements at 12 stops along Main Street and into Northport Village Park.
In East Northport, an annual Memorial Day parade hosted by Knights of Columbus #6893 will begin at 12:15pm. The parade route will head north on Larkfield Road from Clay Pitts Road to John Walsh Memorial Park just south of Pulaski Road.
