Drew Velting at the Farmers’ Market
Drew Velting is an American singer-songwriter and accomplished roots-oriented musician. Performing with banjo and acoustic guitar, he is widely regarded for his rich, baritone voice and genuinely soulful interpretation of music that incorporates early blues, country, folk, rhythm and blues, and rock influences.

Long Island Landscapes is a juried exhibition of works celebrating the beauty and artistic inspiration of Long Island. Artwork will be on display in the Darcy Arts Center, on the second floor of The Firefly Artists Gallery, from September 14 through October 10 (check website for hours).

Northport Arts Coalition Annual ArtWalk
Sunday, October 17, 1-5pm
The ArtWalk takes the art show from the confines of the park and spreads it throughout the Village of Northport. Artists exhibit and sell their work in shops and offices, while musicians entertain from plazas and in stores.

Northport Historical Society Oktoberfest
Thursday, October 28 at 6pm
Beginning in October, the Northport Historical Society will start its “Stamp Your Passport” event series. As part of the new Immigrants of Northport and East Northport exhibit, an event representing a different country will be held each month. The first event will celebrate Oktoberfest, right here in Northport.
Where: Pumpernickels, 640 Main Street, Northport
Owner Artie Glad will be talking about the history of the restaurant and the surrounding area. Cost is $60 for members and $75 for non-members. Tickets for members are currently on sale at www.northporthistorical.org.
