Mandala Art Painting Workshop
Sunday, May 15, 11:30am-2:30pm
Nest on Main's newest addition Amanda Farabaugh of Creative Retreat will be hosting an onsite workshop to teach the art of dot painting. Amanda was born, raised, and currently resides in Northport. She has a bachelor’s degree in Apparel and Textiles from Oneonta State University, as well as an associate's degree in Fashion, Business and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology. On top of her creative studies, she also received a BSN in Nursing at Adelphi University and currently works as a registered nurse. While working at a hospital during the pandemic, Amanda searched for a soothing outlet from the everyday. She picked up a set of previously untouched mandala-making tools, and instantly fell in love with the art. She is excited to introduce the world of mandala art painting to others.
Where: Nest on Main, 135 Main Street, Northport
Tickets are $55 each. Each attendee will receive a case (to keep) including 17 dotting tools, a paint palette, one stencil, one paint brush, two medium handcasted mandala stones, a paint pot and tea light holder to paint on. Acrylic paint will be provided for all attendees. Space is limited and attendees should be ages 10 and up. Register here.
