Latin dance and food at historical society’s final Stamp Your Passport event

Latin America Night, the final Stamp Your Passport series event happening in conjunction with the Northport Historical Society’s soon-to-close exhibit “Immigrants of Northport and East Northport,” will take place Saturday, May 21 at the society’s Main Street location.

Professional dance instructor and entertainer Walter Monteblanco will describe the role dance has in Latin American culture and teach the dances of rumba, tango and salsa. A buffet of Latin American foods and refreshments from Laurel Roads Cafe and Deli in East Northport will be served.

Latin America Night will take place from 6-8pm; tickets (members $60/non-members $70) may be purchased here. Remember to bring your faux passport or pick one up at the museum prior to the event.
