Freeze for a reason: Special Olympics dares you to take a polar plunge at Crab Meadow

Special Olympics New York is looking for the support of local community members, this year inviting brave residents to splash into the frigid waters of Crab Meadow Beach on Saturday, December 11 for the Town of Huntington Polar Plunge.

All money raised through the plunge helps provide year-round sports training and competition as well as leadership, health and inclusion programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the community.

Both teams and individuals are invited to join; simply collect donations to help sponsor the plunge in support of local Special Olympics New York athletes. Every dollar donated makes a difference!

The plunge will take place at Crab Meadow Beach at 11:30am on December 11. Individual plungers need to raise at least $150 each. Visit the Town of Huntington Polar Plunge page to register and begin fundraising now.
