A yearly tradition sponsored by the Ecumenical Lay Council of Northport-East Northport, a nonprofit consortium of local houses of worship dedicated to reaching out to the community’s needy.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The Village of Northport will hold its annual Easter egg hunt with kid races on April 9 at Northport Village Park. Egg hunting begins at 1pm; sponsored by the Northport-Centerport Lions Club.

Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop

Nest on Main’s most popular workshop is back! Join instructor Keri Puglisi (Loops by Keri) and make a one-of-a-kind chunky knit blanket that looks and feels great. Opioid Overdose Prevention Training
Tuesday, April 25, 7pm
East Northport Public Library
Training for adults 16 years of age and older on how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer Narcan. Registration is underway here. This program is co-sponsored by CN Guidance and Counseling Services.

Medicine Collections
Thursday, April 27, 3:30-6:30pm
Northport and East Northport Public Libraries
The Northport Police Department and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office will be collecting unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications; no questions asked and no personal information required. Only medications in pill form will be accepted and must be placed in plastic bags before arrival.
