Northport High School Orchestra Spooktacular

Northport High School presents its second annual Northport High School Orchestra Spooktacular, slated to be a fantastic night of fun for the whole family. The program includes “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Richard Meyer, as well as the orchestra’s traditional Spooktacular “Thriller” finale, by Michael Jackson. The concert is free for all and, full disclosure, features a headless horseman. Orchestra members will also be fundraising for their upcoming trip to the National Orchestra Festival in Orlando, selling spooky treats, orchestra apparel, and raffle tickets for donated prize basket items. Donations are welcome!

Get in on the action, and join this colorful morning of music, games and family fun with the Northport-East Northport Drug and Alcohol Task Force. This year, the entire Color Run course will be on the grounds of Northport Middle School; participants will run or walk the course and get splashed with (machine-washable) color. Beauty and the Beast

This Disney love story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the hideous Beast, a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved the curse will end. If he does not learn his lesson before the last enchanted rose petal falls, he and his household of enchanted objects will be doomed for all eternity. Enjoy the songs we all love such as “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast”. Performances are on Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at 10:30am; tickets are $20 each.
