Northwell Health has opened a $1.3 million, 3,000-square-foot multidisciplinary practice along Route 25A in Northport, in the building formerly occupied by Chase bank in the CVS shopping center. The facility provides primary care and other specialty services.

The Northwell Health Physician Partners site is a hub for primary care doctors, gastroenterology specialists and surgeons who will provide consultations with their patients pre- and post-surgery. The building has six exam rooms, five offices and multiple physicians practicing there.

“The new location in Northport is a large state-of-the-art space that allows Northwell to grow and expand services to meet the health care needs of the community,” said Joe Baglio, senior vice president of Northwell’s Eastern region ambulatory services. “This site provides a coordinated approach and improved access to primary care, gastroenterology and surgery.”

Route 25A serves as the main east-west route for most of the North Shore of Long Island; this newest Northwell location is in the catchment area of Huntington Hospital. The site will also offer consultations for cardiology patients in coming months.

“We are excited to welcome our patients into this new, expanded facility in Northport,” said Stephanie Bernier, vice president of Northwell’s Eastern region ambulatory operations. “Bringing a high level of primary and specialty care to an accessible location makes it more convenient for our patient’s needs, which is one of our goals.”
